Wonderful experience with WRTL. Their video llama course was very professionally done, thorough and highly informative. When it came time to pick up the llamas, Shailey met me with a smile and patiently walked me through all questions. I took the llamas on a hunting trip in the Idaho wilderness and they exceeded all expectations. They were easy to manage, sure footed, and carried heavy packs over extremely rugged terrain (steep scree slopes with no trail, through creeks, over deadfall). Couldn’t be happier with the experience!

We rented a couple of llamas from Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas and had a fantastic experience. From the training videos through pick up and drop off everything was great! Beau and his team were very helpful and the llamas performed amazingly. We will definitely be renting again!

We were overjoyed with our experience renting llamas from Beau. Deacon and Milo (the llamas) enabled us to get into the backcountry with our two little kids (2y and 6m), something that would’ve otherwise been impossible. Beau has trained his llamas so well that even with no livestock experience, we were easily able to handle them. The llamas were clearly happiest while packing on the trail and we were happy to have their help. Can’t wait to do it again soon!

This is a proper outfit, and after using them twice for long trips into the wilderness I cannot recommend them enough. Lovely establishment, family, and operation. If 10/10 on Google was an option, they’d get it.

If you want to hike further, stay longer and have more comforts on the trail then llama rentals with Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas are the only way to go. Beau and his team are deeply knowledgeable and supportive during the trip planning stage and made sure we were fully equipped for our 8 day through hike of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Our three llamas were hardy, game for on and off trail adventure, and had easy going temperaments. Bonus, their alertness and alarm calls made us feel more comfortable in Grizzly country. We will be booking with Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas again and again!
